Liz Becker, LCSW

RITT Staff,
RITT Fellow 2021-2023

Richmond Office

804-372-3988

Liz earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Furman University, and was eventually led to pursue her Masters of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University.  She realized her passion for working with young adults while working with this population at VCU’s Student Counseling Center.  She then proceeded to move on to RITT's fellowship where she discovered her desire to specialize in trauma work.

Now a member of staff, Liz regularly weaves together parts work, EMDR, and somatic interventions with the goal of empowering her clients to discover the healing power they carry within themselves.  First and foremost, Liz's focus is on building a trusting, collaborative therapeutic relationship, as she believes this is the most essential part of successful therapy.

Liz's first career was in animal training, and she incorporates this passion into her work through the use of animal-assisted therapy.  The newest member of her pack is a rescued Great Pyrenees/Husky mix named Bear who is now a therapy dog-in-training. He is a spunky puppy who loves to play and be loved on.  He is guaranteed to make you smile!
